Arnoud Breitbarth is a songwriter, lyricist and playwright. He is interested in stories that make people cry. After a 15 year career in journalism in The Netherlands and the UK, he is now writing musicals. Some of them based on stories he covered as a journalist.
Arnoud (rhymes with ‘aloud’) is currently working on Brothers, a musical adaptation of the popular Dutch youth novel ‘Gebr.’ by Ted van Lieshout about death, loss and sexuality. Together with Christian Czornyj he is writing Catch Me, a musical about suicide. With Harry Style he is writing Forgive Us, Oh Father!, a farcical musical about a priest.
Arnoud also translates lyrics from Dutch and German into English and vice versa.
